B2B Solution | B2B/Wholesale Blended Store vs Dedicated Store

There are many clients running B2B/Wholesale as a blended store or a dedicated store.

Blended store: running b2c/retail and b2b/wholesale on the same store
Dedicated store: running b2b/wholesale on a separate store

In this article, we will share you some combinations of our apps which can help you start your b2b/wholesale according to each scenario.

#1 Blended store: running b2c/retail and b2b/wholesale on the same store

For this one, you can create a basic funnel for b2b/wholesaler customers:

b2b/wholesale sign-up > the owner manually approve registrations > b2b/wholesale customers login and place orders with b2b prices

Please note that login process is totally managed by Shopify so there won't be separate login for b2b/wholesale customers.

Follow this point only if you have separate b2b/wholesale products

If this is your case, you can combine with our B2B Lock app to:

Hide Prices of the b2b/wholesale products and only allow b2b/wholesale customers to login and purchase.
Hide b2b/wholesale products from the site and only allow b2b/wholesale customers to login and purchase.

B2B Prices

You can setup your own B2B pricing with our Custom pricing, Pricelist per customer and Qty/Amount Break.
Once customers login with their b2b/wholesale accounts, they will be able to see new prices and discounts on the selected products. Basically, we won't change anything else other than the prices.

#2 Dedicated store: running b2b/wholesale on a separate store

You might need to combine both B2B Solution app and B2B Lock app for this case. And a popular flow could be:

Lock the whole store or hide all prices from visitors > offer registration > manually approve registrations > b2b/wholesale customers login and place orders

Setup lock with B2B Lock app

Lock the wholesale site from visitors: non-logged-in customers check the site won't be able to see anything. They have to either login or create a new account in order to access the site.

If you'd like visitors to access the whole site and product details but not able to see prices and purchase, you can use our Hide Prices feature.

Setup Registration flow with the B2B Solution app.

To setup your own registration form(s), please check this user guide for Registration Forms feature or follow the #1 above.
If visitors click Create Account from the lock, they can submit for an account
If visitors clock Login to view prices button, they can either login or create an account

Once their registrations are approved, they can start purchasing b2b/wholesale
