B2B Solution | How to divide customers into different groups (eg. B2B and B2C)?
In Shopify, there is no option to categorize customers by default. Therefore, we should use customer tags to differentiate customers; for example, normal customers will have no tag, while b2b customers will have the tag "b2b" assigned. As a result, all customers will log in with the same Login form (email and password), and we can treat them differently based on customer tag(s).
Normally, you can manually assign a customer tag by going to Shopify admin > Customers > edit a customer > add a tag. However, this approach may waste your time if your store has a huge number of customers to handle.

To solve this problem, this article will help you auto-assign customer tag based on pre-defined conditions.
There are two way to auto-assign customer tag as follows:
Steps:
From the left sidebar navigation of the app, access Customer Management > Registration Form > Configuration
Create a new Wholesale Registration form or edit a form that you already created for your customers to register a wholesale account
Find Tags section > input the tag(s) you want assign to all customers who register the form
As a result, our app will assign the tag(s) to registered customers automatically in Shopify Customers admin page.

If you want to assign different customer tags to customers based on flexible conditions, you can try this way. For example, as a store owner, I want to categorize customers based on their job. Let's see how we can achieve that:
From the left sidebar navigation of the app, access Customer Management > Registration Form > Configuration
Create a new Wholesale Registration form or edit a form that you already created for your customers to register a wholesale account
Add a field to collect customer's job in the registration form

Turn back to the left sidebar navigation of the app, access Customer Management > Auto Tag > Configuration > click Add rule
Please select Event: Customer created and the Registration From containing the field you added in step 3. After that, set the condition as follows:

Create another rule to assign another tag

Note: Remember to get the exact values of the field's options to add to the Auto Tag rule to ensure the rule works as expected. Don't use Option text to input in Auto Tag rules!

Hope this article helpful. Wish you a cracking day 😊!
